Players 13–18 years of age can enjoy 1.5 hours of organized match play to develop their skills and get experience playing matches. The staff will help with strategy and teach rules of the game. It is based on the manga written and illustrated by Takeshi Konomi. It was released in China in 2019, then became available for streaming on December 4, 2019 on Netflix as an original series.
The Junior Play Days are three hours and for players typically 14 & under in a round robin format. This gives players the chance to practice their skills in a match setting on a full-size court with yellow tennis balls. Snacks are included and non-members are welcome. Junior Play Day fee: $29/player. Play Day scheduled events are TBA.
Season Matches. Junior Team Tennis is a league in which students play competitive matches against other teams in their division (ex: 8 and under Beginner is a Junior Team Tennis division), allowing students to play matches against other students with a similar age and skill from other local clubs and communities.
Tennis training consists of approximately 10% instruction and 90% repetition. Repetition of strokes and playing patterns is necessary to make them subconscious and automatic. In a typical tennis match, a player has no time to think about technique or analyze the situation in the 1.5 seconds it takes for the ball to come to them from the other side.
Junior Match Play is for junior members who are interested in playing more matches and competitive points. The program is offered to all junior levels from Novice to High Performance. Unlike clinics which focus on technique, coaches will primarily concentrate on the players’ decision-making skills and positioning on the court.
