Every year, volleyball legends and stars of the sport are inducted into the Hall of Fame as presented at the Dorothy C. Boyce Banquet. The International Volleyball Hall of Fame (IVHF) was founded to honor extraordinary players, coaches, officials, and leaders who have made significant contributions to the game of volleyball. The Hall of Fame is located in Holyoke, Massachusetts, where volleyball was invented in 1895 by William G. Morgan at the local YMCA.
Outstanding organization or business that has brought exceptional distinction to the sport of volleyball and/or the AVCA. Must have been associated with the sport or the AVCA for a minimum of ten (10) years. Other considerations will be at the discretion of the Hall of Fame Committee. The AVCA annually recognizes those individuals who have reached the pinnacle of their profession and the sport with the AVCA Hall of Fame. The first AVCA Hall of Fame class, a total of 23 individuals who had earned either the AVCA Founders Award or AVCA Excellence in Education Award, was honored at the 2003 AVCA Convention.
